Surrey Reptile Survey

How it works

The Surrey Reptile Survey 2008 is the ideal opportunity for you to help the animals, by letting SARG know where they live across the county. It's also a great excuse to get out into the countryside and to see parts of Surrey that you may not otherwise see. There is a simple 5-step process to getting involved:

1.

Choose a 1 Km2 OSGB grid anywhere of your choice in Surrey.

2.

Check out the area using our aerial photography tool, looking for likely areas that might support reptile life.

3.

Choose a suitable time, and weather to visit the site, and take a country walk around the areas that you have selected.

4.

Record all sighting of reptiles seen using a SARG reptile survey form.

5.

Report your sightings to the SARG Reptiles Officer.
